WELCOME TO OUR WEBSITE
The Association nationale des éditeurs de livres was established in 1992 from the merger of Association des éditeurs and the Société des éditeurs de manuels scolaires. It now represents the majority of French language fiction, non-fiction and educational publishers in Quebec and French Canada. The objectives of the organization are:
- To defend freedom of speech and copyright,
- To promote reading,
- To promote books as an essential tool of self-development,
- To support the development of a national French-language publishing industry and promote its creations,
- To study and defend the business and political interests of its members,
- To review all questions related to the industry and transmit information to its members, and
- To maintain harmonious relationships among its members.
ANEL is member of the International Publishers Association.
